Dandiya Invitation Card Online Free: 5 Ways, Compared Honestly
Five ways to make a dandiya or garba invitation online, compared on cost, export, watermark and RSVP from each tool's own page: Adobe Express, Canva, Kapwing, a WhatsApp text and a one-to-one invitation link, with which to use for a society of 200 and which for one person.

- • For a society or office dandiya night, an image card plus a typed date-and-time line beats an interactive link, which is built for one person.
- • Kapwing's own pricing page says its $0 plan exports video with a watermark, up to 4 minutes at 720p; Pro, at $16 per member per month billed annually, removes it.
- • In a 2011 field experiment, a prompt to note both a date and a time raised turnout 4.2 points over a 33.1% baseline, so put both in the text under your card.
- • 38.5% of SubhSandesh creators password-protect a page before sharing it, which fits a private one-to-one ask, not a 200-guest group card.
- • 48.3% of SubhSandesh page views are on phones, so whichever invitation you choose also has to read well on a laptop or tablet.

Dandiya Invitation Card Online Free: 5 Ways, Compared Honestly
Which route to a dandiya invitation card online free of cost suits you depends on one question: are you inviting a society of 200, or one person? For a group, design an image card and post it in the WhatsApp group with the date, time and venue typed underneath. For one person, a link that asks a question and waits for the answer does something no image can.
Two numbers from SubhSandesh's own pages shape that split. 48.3% of shared pages are opened on a phone (27,725 of 57,456 views), so the other half land on a laptop or tablet, and the format has to work on both. And 38.5% of creators password-protect a page before sending it, which only makes sense for a private, one-to-one invite.
Below, five options are compared on cost, export, watermark, group size and RSVP. Every third-party claim comes from that tool's own page.
What is an online dandiya invitation card?
An online dandiya invitation card is any invitation to a dandiya raas or garba night that is made and delivered digitally instead of printed. In practice it takes three forms: a still image (PNG or JPEG), a short video, or a link that opens a page in the browser.
The form decides who it suits. An image or video can be forwarded to a group of any size, while a link can carry a question, a reply button and a calendar entry. Sharad Navratri 2026 runs from Sun 11 Oct to Mon 19 Oct, so whichever you pick has nine nights to cover.
5 ways to make a digital dandiya invitation
1. Adobe Express image card
A browser design tool: edit a template, export an image. It suits a society secretary who wants a polished card for a group.
Adobe's plan table lists a $0 tier with 268,000+ templates (519,000+ on Premium) and JPEG, PNG, PDF and GIF export on every plan. The live page blocked our fetcher, so we read an archived May 2026 copy, which says nothing about watermarks.
2. Canva image card
The same job as Adobe Express: pick a festive template, swap the text, export. It suits anyone who already has a Canva login.
Its pricing page title names four tiers: Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise. Every Canva page we tried returned a 403 block, so we cannot say which templates or exports need Pro; check the export screen before designing.
3. Kapwing video invite
An online video editor with invitation templates, for a card that moves. It suits a club or college event posting on Instagram.
Kapwing's pricing page says its $0 plan gives unlimited exports with a watermark, videos up to 4 minutes, at 720p. Removing the watermark needs Pro at $16 per member per month billed annually, or $24 monthly.
4. A WhatsApp text invite
No design at all: five lines typed into the chat. It suits family or neighbours who already know the venue.
It needs nothing but the chat you already use. Its limit is attention, since a plain line sinks under a day of forwards; our sibling guides on dandiya night invitation messages and garba invitation wording cover the text.
5. An interactive one-to-one invitation link
A private page for a single person, sent as a link. It suits asking your partner, crush or best friend to be your dandiya partner.
The Be My Dandiya Partner page's schema marks it isAccessibleForFree: true, and the recipient needs no app and no account. Its limit is its point: one person, one question, so it cannot invite a society.
Cost, export, watermark and RSVP side by side
This table compares the five options on what each one's own page states, read on 12 October 2026 (Adobe from its archived May 2026 copy). Where we could not read a page, the cell says so.
| Option | Cost (own page) | What you export or send | Watermark | Group or one person | RSVP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Adobe Express | $0 tier; Premium has a 30-day trial | JPEG, PNG, PDF, GIF; video up to 30 min | Not stated in its plan table | Group | None listed |
| Canva | Lists Free, Pro, Business, Enterprise | Not verified (page blocked) | Not verified | Group | None verified |
| Kapwing | $0 plan; Pro $16/member/month annually | Video up to 4 min at 720p | Yes on the $0 plan | Group | None listed |
| WhatsApp text | Your data only | Plain text in chat | None | Group or one | Replies in chat |
| Be My Dandiya Partner link | isAccessibleForFree: true (schema) | Private link plus a 1080×1920 PNG pass | Not listed in its spec | One person | Yes/No, email on first yes, add to calendar |
The takeaway: for a group, the image tools win on reach and the link loses outright. For one person, the link is the only row with a reply built in.
Which one for a society dandiya night of 200 guests?
Use an image card plus a typed text line, and skip the interactive link. Images are already how Indian WhatsApp groups talk: Garimella and Eckles collected over 5 million messages from more than 5,000 public groups in India between October 2018 and June 2019, and describe images as a large fraction of what is shared on WhatsApp (political groups, July 2020).
Group chats also carry this kind of content by habit. In a survey of 633 WhatsApp users, 52.2% said their groups share chain messages such as caricatures, videos, photos and celebration messages (Turkey, 2019; we read the abstract only).
Spend your effort on the date and time, not on decoration. In a field experiment, employees prompted to write down both the date and time they planned to attend were vaccinated at a rate 4.2 percentage points above a 33.1% control group; a date alone gave a 1.5-point difference that was not significant (PNAS, 2011, abstract read). For a dandiya card, that means "Sat, 8 pm, Block C lawn" in the text under the image, so a guest can plan the evening.
Personalising a mass card is weaker than it feels. A randomised trial of 1,511 German doctors found personalised invitations drew 2.8% participation against 2.4% for generic ones, a difference that was not statistically significant (2021, abstract read). Different audience, same lesson: a name on a 200-guest card is not what brings people.
Which one for one person: a crush, partner or garba buddy?
Here the image card is the wrong tool: it cannot ask a question or hear the answer. Everything below comes from the template's own feature list.
You add both names, nine short lines (one for each night of Navratri), a note, up to six photos, and the night's details: date, time, venue and dress code. The recipient clashes a pair of dandiya sticks to open an embroidered envelope, lights nine diyas round a garbo, plays a short dhol-beat game, and picks the colour they will twirl in.
Then comes the question. The No button drops its sticks and twirls away with a new excuse each time, and after five tries it turns into a second Yes. You get an email the first time they say yes, and they get a 1080×1920 PNG Dandiya Pass, Instagram Story size, plus an Add to calendar button for Google Calendar and Apple or Outlook.
Privacy matters more here than on a society card. 38.5% of SubhSandesh creators set a password before sharing, and this page offers one at publish. If that is the invitation you want, make a Be My Dandiya Partner invitation and send the private link on WhatsApp or Instagram.
If garba night is only the first stop of a longer plan, The Invitation page fits better: a yes turns into a countdown, and on the day the plan unlocks one stop at a time. It is the better pick when the question is the whole evening, not just the dance.
How late can you make a dandiya invitation?
Later than you think, so speed matters. We have no Navratri creation data yet, so the nearest measurement is Raksha Bandhan 2026 (n = 89, a different, one-day festival): 49.4% of those pages were built on the festival day itself, and the median lead time was 0 days.
Navratri gives you more room than that. The 2026 nights run 11 to 19 Oct, Vijayadashami falls on Tue 20 Oct, and Gujarat plays garba again on Sharad Purnima night, Sun 25 Oct. In 2027 Navratri runs 30 Sep to 8 Oct, with Dussehra on 9 Oct.
The dandiya page's own schema estimates five minutes to make, and a text invite takes one. An image card takes as long as your design patience allows.
When the interactive link is the wrong choice
First, any group: a society night, an office event, a home puja or a college club. It is a one-to-one invitation, not a group card or a ticketing tool, and it does not sell garba passes or find anyone a partner. Second, a guest who needs Hindi, Gujarati or Marathi throughout: the page interface is English, although every line you write is editable.
Third, a real yes-or-no. Because No turns into Yes after five tries, the page is a playful ask, not an honest RSVP; if the answer might genuinely be no, ask in person. Fourth, a recipient who only checks a phone gallery: 48.3% of our page views are on phones, but a link still needs a tap and a browser, while an image sits in the chat.
