Your year together, as a Spotify Wrapped they tap through

A year in review as a story you tap through: the numbers, a top five, and an archetype card at the end saying which couple you actually are. The pitch in the builder is the whole design — “You write five things. We work out the rest.” Every number comes from one start date.

    Step by step

    The written walkthrough

Everything the video covers, in a form you can search, scan and keep open in another tab.

    01

    The date

    Step 1.1

    One date drives every number

The screen says “We worked this out for you” and “We ran the numbers.” Days together, months, and the rest are derived — so the start date is the only field that can make the whole thing wrong.

    02

    The five things you write

    Step 2.1

Counts, with the thing being counted

The placeholder pattern is “times you said” — a number and a phrase. Specific phrases beat big numbers every time.

    Step 2.2

Add a reason, add a joke

Both are their own controls. The reasons carry the sentiment; the jokes stop it becoming a greetings card.

    03

    The top five

    Step 3.1

Each entry has a line under it

The placeholders show it — “the one you played twice” with “in the auto, both times” beneath. The second line is where the memory actually is.

    Step 3.2

    A song slide, optionally

There is a song URL, and the placeholder spells out the branch: “empty = no song slide.” ON REPEAT is the slide it makes.

    04

    The archetype

    Step 4.1

    The card everything builds to

YOUR ARCHETYPE is the final slide and the one they screenshot. There is a Skip to the card control for people who will not sit through the build-up — expect it to be used.

    05

    Share and replay

    Step 5.1

    Replay, and Make your own

The end screen carries both. “Same time next year.” is the sign-off placeholder.

    Your turn

About 4 minutes, and it is done.

You do not need an account to start — you are asked to sign in once, at the moment you publish.

    Questions

What people ask about this one

How much do I actually have to write?

Five things. The builder's own promise is “You write five things. We work out the rest.” Everything numeric is derived from the start date.

    Do I need a song?

No. The field says “empty = no song slide” — the story just skips that slide.

    They skipped to the end.

There is a Skip to the card control, deliberately. The archetype card is the thing people share, so it is built to be reachable.

    The numbers look wrong.

Check the start date. Every figure in the rewind is worked out from that one field.
