Hold the screen for sixty seconds and the letter unlocks
They press and hold the screen for a minute. Let go and the progress drains back. Fragments of the letter surface as they hold, ghost lines try to make them let go, and reaching the end unlocks the whole thing.

Sixty seconds, and letting go costs
It drains rather than resetting, so a slip is recoverable. Say “hold it” when you send the link — a page that looks like it is doing nothing is a page people close.
The lines that surface
Step 2.1
Fragments, timed to the hold
Add fragment takes “a fragment of the letter…”. They appear as the timer runs, so the letter is being read before it is unlocked.
Step 2.2
Release lines
Add release line covers what shows if they let go — the placeholders are “don't.” and “come back.” Two words, and they do more than anything else in the template.
