Send a love letter disguised as an IRCTC ticket
A long-distance letter in the shape of an electronic reservation slip. They enter a PNR, the chart is not prepared yet, then the ticket loads — passengers, coach and seat, fare lines, and a route whose stops are the places your relationship actually stopped at. The waitlist clears while they watch.

The PNR
They land on a PNR ENQUIRY box, not on the ticket.
Step 1.1
Send the PNR with the link
The placeholder is a real-shaped number — “4402 8891”. Without it they are looking at an empty enquiry form.
The single most common way this template lands badly. The link alone is not enough.
Step 1.2
CHART NOT PREPARED is deliberate
The first state is the railways' own stalling message, then “Fetching current status”. The wait is part of the joke — do not read it as a bug.
The ticket
Step 2.1
Train number, name, and the two stations
The placeholders show the shape: train 20232, “US EXPRESS”, from “Bengaluru” to “Your Terrace”. One real station and one that is not is the entire gag.
Step 2.2
Passengers, coach, seat — and the waitlist
Add passenger takes a name, a coach and a seat. The booking status placeholder is “WL 47” and the berth is “SIDE LOWER”. The waitlist clearing is the emotional beat of the whole template.
Step 2.3
Fare lines
Add fare line takes a Label and a Value, and runs to “UNTIL END OF JOURNEY”. Keep them in railway language and the totals do the work.
The route
Step 3.1
Stops are dated, like a real chart
Add stop takes a station name and a departure — “dep 14 Mar 2023, 02:11”. There is an “(unscheduled stop)” option, which is where the good ones go.
Running status
Step 4.1
NO ETA. NO RUSH.
The running-status screen carries a countdown and that line. If you have a real date to meet, it counts to it; if you do not, the line covers for you.

The ticket renders as a text-message copy as well as a slip — the compact one to paste into a chat.
